Allen Tate is producer, mixer, songwriter and musician based in Brooklyn, NY. As a performer, he is best known as the lead singer and main collaborator for the indie rock band San Fermin. As a producer, his work has been featured by NPR, Rolling Stone, Under the Radar and many other national outlets as well as being placed on editorial playlists for all of the major streaming platforms and released by major and independent labels. In 2021, Tate founded the label Better Company Records with his bandmate Ellis Ludwig-Leone as a joint venture with The Orchard. 

Allen has released two solo albums under his own name, Sleepwalker (2016) co produced with Ludwig-Leone and, In The Waves (2019) co produced with John Agnello (Waxahatchee, Sonic Youth, Kurt Vile).

Allen works primarily out of his studio building and label HQ, Better Company Studios in Fort Greene.
